Svetlana was born and raised in the Republic of Moldova and moved to Canada to pursue higher education. She is currently completing her master’s degree in finance at the Schulich School of Business, where she is a Dean’s List Honour Roll student. She balances her part-time studies with working as a Senior Financial Analyst for the Business Technology Group of Brookfield Properties. Svetlana used her education and professional experience to create a free financial education program for women, called FinPowered, which provided over 100 free workshops in Canada and Moldova.

In her spare time, Svetlana enjoys travelling and learning about new cultures. She visited over 30 countries and is fluent in 3 languages. Svetlana’s pageant journey has given her the opportunity to travel the world and represent Canada at several international pageants. She competed at the Miss Tourism World pageant in China, earning the first runner-up placement, and Miss World in Puerto Rico, achieving the highest placement for Canada in nearly a decade. With 5 years of pageant experience, Svetlana is ready to work hard for the opportunity to represent Canada on the Miss International stage.
